Fan ranges

Process & high-temperature fans

For air that is hot, dirty, wet, abrasive or all four — where the specification is really a materials question.

The range

Process & high-temperature fans

  • To 550°C continuous with shaft cooling
  • Heat slinger and cooled bearing housings
  • Replaceable wear liners for abrasive duties
  • Hard-faced blade leading edges
  • 316, 904L and coated mild steel casings
  • Quoted from a gas analysis, not a catalogue

Process duties are where catalogue selection stops working. The volume and pressure are the easy part; what decides whether the fan lasts five years or five months is the gas — its temperature, its dew point, what is entrained in it, and how often the plant cycles.

We build to 550°C continuous with a cooled shaft and a heat slinger between the impeller and the bearings, and we will specify the bearing arrangement on the assumption the plant will be shut down hot at least once, because it will be. Abrasive duties get replaceable wear liners in the scroll and hard-faced blade leading edges. Corrosive duties get 316 or 904L, or a coated mild steel casing where the chemistry allows it and the budget does not.

This range is quoted from a gas analysis, not a form. Send us what is in the air and we will tell you what we would build and what we would expect it to cost you to run.

Ranges are the built envelope, not a marketing maximum. Duties near the edge get a measured curve before we quote.

Send us the duty and we will send back a curve

Volume, static pressure, air temperature and what is in it. If you only have two of those, ring us and we will work out the rest.
