Fan ranges
Jet & impulse fans
Ductless ventilation for car parks and tunnels: a row of small fans pushing air across a space instead of a network of ductwork above it.
The range
Jet & impulse fans
- Thrust from 30 N to 120 N
- Reversible for either-direction smoke clearance
- F300 rated as standard, F400 available
- CFD model supplied with every scheme
- Slim cases from 285 mm deep
- Silenced and unsilenced variants
An impulse system replaces extract ductwork with momentum. A row of small high-velocity fans entrains the surrounding air and drives it along the space toward an extract point, which in a car park removes several hundred metres of ductwork, three or four hundred millimetres of soffit depth, and a significant amount of programme.
It only works if the layout is right, and the layout cannot be judged by eye. A fan pointed two metres from a downstand beam does nothing but make noise; a system with too few fans leaves a dead zone in the corner where the CO monitor happens to be. We model every impulse scheme in CFD before quoting it, and we will show you the velocity plots rather than assert that it works.
Thrust ratings run from 30 N for a two-level residential car park to 120 N for tunnel work. All units are reversible for smoke clearance in either direction, and all are rated F300 or better so the same fans serve day ventilation and the fire strategy.
